Sing With Us!

Animaterra is open to all women who love to sing, who are committed to coming to rehearsals and performing with us.

No audition necessary.

Animaterra will be starting its fall season with two New Members Teas for new and returning members.  The teas begin at 6:30 and are followed by rehearsals on Tuesdays, September 12 and 19.  They will be held at the First Baptist Church at 105 Maple Avenue in Keene.

Animaterra is open to all women who love to sing; no auditions are necessary.  Music is learned primarily by ear and rehearsals are a combination of music, community, and fun.  The music blends traditional songs from around the world with other spirited and soulful songs.  This fall’s theme, “Sing, My Sister,” focuses on friendship and sisterhood.

Animaterra will give two concerts this year, on December 9 in Keene and December 10 in Peterborough.

Animaterra was founded 21 years ago by Allison Aldrich Smith and is now in its second year with new Artistic Director Becky Graber, who also directs the Brattleboro Women’s Chorus.  The name is a combination of Anima (the spirit), Mater (the mother), and Terra (the earth).

Animaterra is an open and welcoming chorus. No auditions or previous experience are required.
